ScrollShot Terms of Use

Effective 16 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and the provider of ScrollShot for your use of the ScrollShot app on iOS. By installing or using ScrollShot, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Who provides ScrollShot

ScrollShot is made and published by Arda Demir Yildiz, an individual developer. There is no company behind it. In these terms, "the provider" means Arda Demir Yildiz and "you" means the person using the app.

The way to reach the provider is by email, at bladeytmail@gmail.com. A support page is published alongside these terms; it carries the same address and nothing is submitted through it. There is no phone number and no contact form. Support for ScrollShot comes from the provider, by email, and from no one else.

What ScrollShot is

ScrollShot turns a screen recording, or a set of screenshots, into one long screenshot. It requires iOS 17 or later.

ScrollShot cannot record your screen. It has no screen-recording capability of any kind. You record your own screen with the recorder built into iOS, or take your own screenshots, and then hand the result to ScrollShot through the system photo picker. The reconstruction runs on your device using Apple frameworks. There is no ScrollShot server and the app contains no networking code, so your recordings, your screenshots and your finished long screenshots never reach the provider.

The app is not offline, though. Apple's StoreKit framework contacts Apple's servers on every launch: to fetch the product details, to check whether your subscription is current, and to ask whether your Apple Account is eligible for an introductory offer. That is Apple's framework talking to Apple from your device. Nothing about your content is involved.

What ScrollShot does with the media you import, and what it keeps on your device, is set out in the ScrollShot Privacy Policy, published alongside these terms.

Your licence

The provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use ScrollShot on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own use. You are licensed to use the app. You do not own it, and you acquire no rights in it.

The licence is revocable: it ends if you breach these terms in a serious way, and you must then stop using ScrollShot and delete it. You should know what revocation can and cannot mean in practice. There is no ScrollShot account and no server, so the provider cannot switch off a copy of the app that is already on your device.

Your use of ScrollShot is also governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which you can read at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms sit alongside that agreement. Where these terms give you less than that agreement gives you, that agreement applies.

Apple's role

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the licence terms in this document, and on your acceptance of these terms Apple has the right to enforce those terms against you.

This agreement is between you and the provider. Apple is not a party to it, is not responsible for ScrollShot, and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it.

Apple runs the App Store and handles everything to do with payment: the purchase sheet, your payment method, your Apple Account identity, your billing address, your purchase history, tax and region. None of that ever enters ScrollShot's code. Questions about billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds go to Apple. Questions about the app itself come to the provider, at the email address above.

Your one free long screenshot

Each installation of ScrollShot includes one free long screenshot. After that, the paywall appears.

The free capture is spent only when the engine has actually produced a finished long screenshot. Nothing else spends it. Importing a recording or screenshots does not spend it. Starting a capture does not spend it. Cancelling one does not spend it. A capture that fails does not spend it, and refusing a permission does not spend it. If you did not get a result, you did not spend it.

The allowance is counted on your device, by the app, per installation. It is not tied to an account, because there is no account: it does not follow you to another device, and it does not survive deleting and reinstalling the app. That is a known consequence of counting it on the device, and the provider accepts it.

If you subscribe to ScrollShot Pro, your results are not counted or recorded at all.

ScrollShot Pro

ScrollShot Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, billed weekly. It unlocks unlimited long screenshots. It does not change what the app does with your content.

It is the only thing on sale in the app. If you hold an older ScrollShot product that is no longer sold, it continues to unlock Pro; products of that kind cannot be bought and are not offered to anyone.

Pro is granted only on a transaction that passes Apple's signature check. If a purchase sheet completes but the transaction does not verify, Pro is not granted — that is deliberate. If it happens, try Restore. If you have been charged and Pro is still locked, that is a matter for Apple: the payment and any refund are Apple's, and the provider has no record of your purchase and no way to grant access from his side. You are welcome to email as well.

The app asks the App Store again on every launch whether your subscription is current, rather than remembering the answer.

The free trial

A three-day free trial is configured with Apple as an introductory offer.

The trial is offered only to Apple Accounts that Apple determines are eligible. The app asks Apple whether the Apple Account signed in to the App Store on your device is eligible, and shows the trial only if Apple says yes. Eligibility is Apple's decision, made on Apple's rules. The provider does not decide it and does not store Apple's answer. If Apple says your account is not eligible, you are shown the price with no mention of a trial.

A trial converts into a paid weekly subscription at the end of the three days, and Apple charges your Apple Account, unless you cancel first. Apple's rule is that a cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the trial ends, so do not leave it to the final hours. That timing is Apple's, not the provider's, and Apple can change it; what applies to you is shown on the subscription's page in Settings.

Price

ScrollShot displays the localised price that the App Store returns for your storefront. That price varies by country and currency, and Apple may change its price tiers.

For that reason, no figure appears in this document. The price shown to you in the App Store purchase sheet, before you confirm, is the price that applies to you.

Billing and renewal

When you confirm the purchase, Apple charges your Apple Account. If you started with a free trial, the first charge comes at the end of the trial instead, unless you cancel first.

The subscription renews automatically every week, at the price then shown, until auto-renewal is turned off. Apple's rules are that each renewal is charged within 24 hours before the current week ends, and that auto-renewal must be turned off at least 24 hours before then to stop it. Those rules are Apple's, not the provider's, and Apple can change them.

Cancelling

You cancel through Apple, not through ScrollShot. Open Settings on your device, tap your Apple Account, then Subscriptions, and cancel there. Cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal, or Apple will charge that renewal.

Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not refund a week that has already been charged, and Pro stays active for as long as the App Store reports your subscription as current. When the App Store stops reporting it as current, Pro stops, and a free capture you have already used does not come back.

ScrollShot has no subscription management screen of its own. It cannot cancel your subscription for you.

Refunds

Refunds are Apple's to give. The provider cannot issue one, cannot reverse a charge, and has no access to your purchase history. If you want a refund, request it from Apple.

If Apple refunds or revokes a subscription, Pro stops. The app re-reads your entitlements from the App Store, and an entitlement that has been revoked or has expired unlocks nothing.

Restore

The paywall has a Restore button. It asks the App Store to sync and then re-reads your entitlements, so that an active subscription is recognised again — for example after reinstalling the app, or on another device.

It restores to the Apple Account signed in on the device; there is no ScrollShot account for it to restore from. Apple may ask for your Apple Account password during a restore; that exchange is between you and Apple, and ScrollShot never sees those credentials.

How you may use ScrollShot

These are obligations on you. The provider cannot see what you capture and has no way to check any of this, so it depends on you.

Your content

Everything you bring into ScrollShot, and every long screenshot it produces, is yours. You are responsible for it: for having the right to capture it, and for what you do with the result.

The provider never receives your content and cannot see it. There is nothing to moderate, because your content is never submitted to the provider. There is equally nothing to recover: if you lose a result, the provider cannot restore it, and if you want one removed, the provider cannot delete it, because it exists only on your device, under your control. Deleting the app removes what ScrollShot has stored.

The only permission ScrollShot ever asks for is permission to add to your photo library, and it asks only when you tap Save on a finished result. If you refuse it, the app still works for viewing and sharing.

When you share a finished long screenshot, you use the system share sheet and you choose the destination. ScrollShot does not choose it. What happens to the image after you send it somewhere else is governed by wherever you sent it, not by these terms.

Intellectual property

ScrollShot — the app, its name, its design and its stitching engine — belongs to the provider, and the app and its design are protected by copyright. Nothing in these terms, and nothing in the app, gives you any right in it beyond the licence to use it described above.

Availability, and the app as it is

ScrollShot is provided as it is.

The reconstruction is a best effort and will not succeed on every recording or every set of screenshots. Some recordings cannot be stitched. A result may be imperfect. The engine will not produce a result taller than 120,000 pixels. The provider does not promise that any particular capture will work, that a result will be accurate, or that the app will be available without interruption.

The provider may change, add, remove or discontinue features at any time, and may stop distributing the app. If a change does not suit you, you can cancel through Apple, which stops the next renewal.

Nothing in these terms affects rights you have under consumer law that cannot be signed away.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change — for example if the app changes, or if the way purchases work changes. A changed version carries a new effective date at the top and applies from that date onwards. It does not apply backwards, and it does not apply to a subscription week that has already been charged.

There is no account and no server, so the provider has no way to tell you that these terms have changed. The version published at the address where you are reading this is the one that applies. If a new version does not suit you, cancel through Apple, stop using ScrollShot and delete it. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the changed version.

General

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them still apply.

Contact

Email bladeytmail@gmail.com, which is also the address given on the support page. That is the only contact method. Replies come from one person, so please allow time for one.

For anything to do with billing, price, renewal, cancellation or refunds, contact Apple. The provider has no access to any of it.
